Stakeholders have come together to discuss the future of Duffy House.

Members from the City of Joondalup, State Government and local MP Jessica Stojkovski met earlier this week to discuss the future of Duffy House in Woodvale.

Duffy House has been at the centre of recent discussions in the community about anti-social behaviour. Following a number of concerns, Kingsley MP Jessica Stojkovski asked the WA Planning Commission to make safe the building so that further damage and anti-social behaviour could not take place.

An application had been made to demolish the house due to the risk of injury to those entering the building. This application has been put on hold while the relevant stakeholders met to discuss how best to move forward with Duffy House.

Comments from Member for Kingsley Jessica Stojkovski:

“It was great to have all the stakeholders in one room to discuss what the best outcome for our community would be in relation to Duffy House”

“Everyone is working towards a common goal, and that goal is to ideally adapt Duffy House for reuse”

“I think that this would be the best outcome for our community”
