Creating effective, integrated and sustainable public transport part of election commitments to the northern suburbs community through METRONET.
Local Member Jessica Stojkovski welcomed the announcement of the new route 355 bus service between Ellenbrook and Whitfords Station.
The new bus service will drastically cut public transport journey times between Ellenbrook and northern suburban job centres, such as Joondalup and Wangara.
The journey between Ellenbrook and Joondalup will go from 94 minutes to 44 minutes and create a more frequent service for Madeley and more direct route for Landsdale residents travelling to Whitfords Station.
The new service will commence on Monday, 28 August.
Comments from Member for Kingsley Jessica Stojkovski MLA:
“People have been asking for better east-west connections and that this is the first step. We are getting the job done to create a more sustainable and effective public transport system.
“This new bus will open up the northern suburbs and create an improved service for those travelling to the jobs and education precincts in Wangara and in Joondalup.”
