Member for Kingsley, Jessica Stojkovski MLA, whose own political career started at the very early age of just 10 years old, is excited to help the children in her electorate navigate the political system.
- Jessica Stojkovski the Member for Kingsley is very supportive of three local residents who have asked for her help to build a Skate Park in Woodvale.
- Although too young to vote, the three local community residents have decided that they would like to see a skate park built in Chichester Park, Woodvale.
- A petition has been created and signatures are being collected to present to the City of Joondalup Mayor and Councillors.
Local children Nicholas, Levi and Matilda, although unknown to each other, all share a common interest of skating.
The City of Joondalup currently only has two skate park facilities, located at Mirror Park, Ocean Reef, and Kinross Skate Park.
The proposed location of a new skate park facility in Chichester Park, Woodvale, which will coincide with the park redevelopment, will be a great asset for the local community. A new skate park will provide the young people of Woodvale a place to go outside and enjoy their local suburb, whilst skating and socialising with others.
Anyone interested in signing the petition can contact Member for Kingsley Jessica Stojkovski’s electorate office on 9309 2666.
Comments from Member for Kingsley Jessica Stojkovski:
“A local skate park has many social benefits for young people in a community as it provides a welcoming and fun place for our young people to enjoy and get outside.”
“I am encouraged to see young people in our community identifying issues that are important to them and engaging with elected members to pursue these changes.”
