This week the Hon Don Punch Minister for Disability Services; Small Business; Fisheries; Seniors and Ageing visited the Kingsley electorate. Minister Punch visited the Woodvale Boulevard Shopping Complex and spoke to a range of small business about the effects of COVID-19 and the current small business environment.
Local business owners engaged with the Minister, asking a range of questions relating to government assistance and the Mc Gowan Government's plan for small businesses. The opportunity to speak with the Minister was appreciated by local business owners who thanked active local Member Jessica Stojkovski for organising the visit.
Jessica Stojkovski was grateful to have the support of local small business throughout the electorate, but in particular those visited with the Minister. The Member recognised the important of supporting local small businesses, particularly in the difficult times of the last few years.
The McGowan Government acknowledged some businesses have done it tough whilst level 2 restrictions and safety measured measures have been in place. The Minister and Jessica Stojkovski encouraged the businesses who have been most impacted to apply for the recently announced support packages, worth more than $420 Million.
